Today my dad shared a letter that he has sent us when he was traveling to Mongolia. Dated 18th September 1988. Wow .. my full childhood came in front of my eyes. My dad used to travel abroad regularly. He made sure he sent us a letter on the local postcard. The letter is 33 years old. Hats off to my dad who keeps each and every letter, greeting card as treasure. So much to learn from him.

I was 9 years old then. But today also I remembered that letter. How excited we were when we received the letter in our yellow color letterbox and read it a number of times. My super mom used to take care of the three of us. Me, my sister and brother. Never ever complaining and always pampering us with a smile on her face.

The postal address on the letter.. 58/83/1A. Lake gardens. I remember this address and can never forget it. My best childhood days which we 3 still cherish and tell our kids its stories. How I miss those days and I know it will never come back. No internet, no Alexa, no youtube, no WhatsApp.. but we were so happy and busy... Love that innocence.

It’s been 2 years since I have not been to Kolkata but before that every year we 3 made sure we go to lake gardens and relive our childhood.

One letter so many memories...
